When you minimize Word 2007 or Excel 2007 on a remote computer that is running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, the minimized window is missing items

You use Remote Desktop Connection to start Microsoft Office Word 2007 or Office Excel 2007 on a remote computer that is running Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2. When you minimize Word 2007 or Excel 2007, the minimized window does not contain the following items:

• The document name
• The Minimize button
• The Restore button
• The Close button

   , type msvsmon.exe in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
4. Type DisableRibbonForMinimizedWindow, and then press ENTER.
5. Right-click DisableRibbonForMinimizedWindow, and then click Modify.
6. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
7. Exit Registry Editor.
