The background color of a System Center Operations Manager 2007 report or of a System Center Essentials 2007 report may be black

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You generate a Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 report or a Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007 report. To view the report, you click Print Preview on the File menu. In this scenario, the background color of the report may be black. Therefore, the report details may be obscured.

Note You expect the background color of the report to be white.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an issue in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services together with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (SP2).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the cumulative update package (build 3161) for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2.
