INTRODUCTION

You can use the MOMCertImport.exe tool to import certificates on computers that are running Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007. This article describes how to disable the use of certificates that are imported by using the MOMCertImport.exe tool.

To disable the use of certificates that are imported by using the MOMCertImport.exe tool, follow these steps:

Click Start, and then click Run.
Type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
Locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Operations Manager\3.0\Machine Settings
In the details pane, right-click the ChannelCertificateSerialNumber registry entry, and then click Modify.
Make sure that the Value Data box contains a NULL value. Or, make sure that the Value Data box contains no value. Then, click OK.
Close Registry Editor.
