SYMPTOMS

After you delete a system resource in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007, the associated inventory data is not completely deleted. Therefore, more Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) client records are present in inventory views than in system-discovery views. SMS reports and SQL queries that do not reference system-resource views or system-resource tables return incorrect data.

CAUSE

A bug in the System_DISC_DEL trigger causes the deletion of inventory data to be incomplete.
