INTRODUCTION

This article describes how to manage the daylight saving time (DST) changes in the Egypt time zone for the years 2006 to 2009 in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 and in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005.

MORE INFORMATION

In 2006, the Egypt time zone was modified to change the way that DST is implemented. The DST start dates and end dates for the Egypt time zone for the years 2006 to 2009 have changed as follows:
  • For the year 2006:
    • DST begins on the last Thursday of April.
    • DST ends on the third Thursday of September.
  • For the year 2007:
    • DST begins on the last Thursday of April.
    • DST ends on the first Thursday of September.
  • For the year 2008:
    • DST begins on the last Thursday of April.
    • DST ends on the last Thursday of August.
  • For the year 2009:
    • DST begins on the fourth Thursday of April.
    • DST ends on the last Thursday of September.
Currently, the Live Meeting service does not support the DST date changes for Egypt for the years 2006 to 2009. Therefore, meeting organizers in Egypt must manually send meeting updates to their attendees.

Meeting attendees who have meetings that are scheduled during the affected period should work together with their meeting organizers to verify and to adjust the start times and the end times.
