Q1: Are pay-per-use customers charged while participants are in the Meeting Lobby?

A1: Customers are charged only for the number of minutes that is displayed on their attendance report. The meeting presenter and Live Meeting Conference Center will not incur charges for the following reasons:
  • Attendees are sent to the Meeting Lobby when they try to connect to a meeting.
  • Attendees wait until the meeting presenter allows them into the meeting.
  • Attendees spend time in the Meeting Lobby.
Q2: I received a confirmation e-mail message for a pay-per-use Live Meeting account that says that the account will be charged monthly. Will I be charged if I do not use the service in a given month?

A2: Charges will be applied to your credit card at the end of each month based on actual account use. You will not be charged if you do not use the service.

Note The confirmation e-mail message refers to the billing cycle. Instead of charging for each meeting, the confirmation e-mail message sums up all the account use each month. Q4: Can I obtain a copy of an invoice online?

A4: Invoices are currently not available on the World Wide Web. To obtain a copy of an invoice, follow these steps:

    • Invoice number (10-digit number that begins with 92)
    • Customer number (7-digit number that begins with 65)

Q5: How can I make a credit card payment?

A5: We offer the following options to pay invoices by credit card:
  • Automatic recurring charges for future invoices
  • One-time payment
Note Currently, we cannot process credit card payments by telephone or over the internet for new customers outside United States. New customers from United States can purchase Live Meeting by using a credit card on Microsoft Online Customer Portal at https://mocp.microsoftonline.com.

Q6: How do pay-per-use accounts earn charges?

A6: Charges are earned for every connection to a meeting. These connections include the presenter and all attendees. For example, if there are two participants in one meeting that lasts for one hour, the total charge would be as follows:
Total connection time for participant 1 (60 minutes)

Total connection time for participant 2 (60 minutes)
= Total meeting connection time (120 minutes)
To determine the total charge of a meeting, multiply the total meeting connection time by the price per minute. Therefore, for this example, the total charge for the meeting would be as follows:
(120 minutes) x ($0.50 per minute) = $60.00
