Article ID: 947662 - Last Review: October 15, 2009 - Revision: 2.0 The transport rule "when the Subject field or the body of the message contains text patterns" does not work accurately on an Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1-based computer
SYMPTOMSConsider
the following scenario. In an Exchange Server
2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) environment, you
use the condition when the Subject field or the body of the message
contains specific words to create a transport rule.
However,
Exchange Server
2007 SP1
matches
the character pattern specified instead
of an actual word. For example, you define
"dog" as the specific word. If any word contains the characters
"dog" in a message, such as "ddog," or
tfdogk," Exchange
Server 2007
SP1 considers that
the string
matches
the condition. If you configure the transport rule with the action send bounce message to sender with enhanced status code in this scenario, the sender receives a non-delivery report (NDR) that resembles the following message. From: <PostMaster> Sent: <Date, Time> To: <Sender> Subject: <Subject> Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists: <recipient> Your message wasn't delivered because of security policies. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this message for you. Please provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator. _____ Sent by Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Diagnostic information for administrators: Generating server: <Server> <recipient> #550 5.7.1 Delivery not authorized, message refused ## Original message headers: RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 9 for
