Message when you first start Entourage 2008 for Mac and import the Swedish version of Entourage 2004 for Mac identities: "<Identity_name>-Find identity"

When you start Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, you receive the following message in the Import dialog box:Entourage 2008 for Mac automatically imports any existing identities from earlier versions of Entourage for Mac. This problem occurs if the earlier version of Entourage 2008 for Mac is the Swedish language version of Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac.

For the Swedish version of Entourage 2008 for Mac, this text reads as follows: Note In these messages, Identity_name is the name of an identity that was created in the Swedish version of Entourage 2004 for Mac.

This problem occurs when you upgrade from the Swedish version of Entourage 2004 for Mac to any other language version of Entourage 2008 for Mac. One of the identity file names that is used by the Swedish version of Entourage 2004 for Mac is "E-postlistor." Entourage 2008 for Mac does not recognize the "E-postlistor" file name when it tries to import an existing identity.

To work around this problem, follow these steps.

Note The following menu names and file names are in Swedish, with the English version in parenthesizes, ( ).

1. On the Dock, click Finder.
2. On the Gå (Go) menu, click Hem (Home).
3. Open the Dokument (Documents) folder.
4. Locate and then open the Microsoft användardata (Microsoft User Data) folder.
5. Locate and then open the Office 2004 – Identiteter (Office 2004 Identities) folder.
6. Open the Identity_name folder.
7. Locate and then select the E-postlistor file.
8. On the Arkiv (File) menu, click Visa Info (Get Info).
9. Under Namn och filtillägg (Names and Extensions), type Adresslistor.
10. Close the Visa Info (Get Info) window.
11. Open Entourage 2008 for Mac.
12. On the Arkiv (File) menu, click Importera (Import).
13. Click Entourage-information från ett arkiv eller en tidigare version (Entourage information from an archive or earlier version), and then click the right arrow.
14. Click Entourage 2004, and then click the right arrow two times.
    
    Entourage 2008 for Mac finds the old identity. The identity appears in the identity list.
15. Click the right arrow.
16. Click Slutför (Finish).
