SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Software Update service cannot upload a .cab file if the file name contains non-ASCII characters. For example, this behavior occurs if the file name contains East Asian, European, or Middle Eastern characters.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, make sure that the .cab file name contains only ASCII characters.
