Microsoft has released an update to the Help files for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. The update was released March 7, 2008. This article describes the update.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Help files have been updated with bug fixes, with additions that are based on customer input, and with information that was not available when Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 was initially released.

This update is currently available only for English.

Notes
  • The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Client for Outlook with Offline Access version of this update must be installed by a user who is a member of the local Administrators group on the computer.
  • The server version of this update must be installed by a user who is a member of the local Administrators group on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to install this update.

Restart requirement

You do not have to restart the computer after you install this update.

Temporary Internet files

All Microsoft Dynamics CRM users must delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder. Users must take this action to make sure that they see the updated Help files and not a previous Help page from their cache.

Note If you are the administrator of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server on which this update has been installed, you must advise the users to delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder.

To delete the files in the Temporary Internet Files folder, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. On the General tab, click Delete Files.
  4. In the Delete Files dialog box, click to select the Delete all offline content check box, and then click OK.

Removal information

To remove this update, use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel.
