SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. You create a new contact by clicking the New button in a Look Up Records dialog box. You save the new contact. In this scenario, the records list is not filtered by the new contact.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an issue in the logic that populates the primary field when you pull the display name.

RESOLUTION

This problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
