SYMPTOMS

You use Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 to perform an online backup of a virtual machine that is running in Microsoft Virtual Server 2005. When you do this, the backup image that you create may be corrupted. If you try to restore the system from the corrupted backup image, the restore operation may fail, or the restored virtual machine may not work correctly.

RESOLUTION

This problem has been fixed in System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 Feature Pack which is available on the download center.
