INTRODUCTION

Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Consider the following scenario. Outlook 2003 is running in Cached Exchange Mode. A user attaches a large file or several large files to a message in Outlook 2003. Because of the size of the attachment or of the attachments, the message exceeds the size limit that is configured in Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 or in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. In this scenario, when the user put the message in the drafts folder and synchronizes with the server, the server that is running Exchange Server 2003 or Exchange 2000 Server may experience performance issues. Additionally, excessive database growth may occur on the server.

The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in the following table. When you view the file information, the date is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
