This article describes how to sync music, videos, pictures, podcasts, and apps from your Zune player to your Zune collection. This process is also known as "reverse sync."

To reverse sync content from a Zune device to your Zune collection, follow these steps.

Note You cannot reverse sync playlists, podcasts, friends, or channels.

Note Before you can use this procedure, the Zune software must be installed on the computer. For information about how to download and install the latest version of the Zune software, visit the following Zune Web site:

Connect the Zune device to the computer.
If the Zune software does not automatically start, start the Zune software.
In the Zune software, click the device menu, and then click the content category that you want to sync. For example, click music.
Right-click the item or the category that you want to reverse sync, and then click Copy to my collection.
After the sync process is complete, disconnect the Zune device from the computer.

After you follow these steps, the content from the Zune device is available on the computer in the Zune collection.
