Method 1Disable Outlook-Instant Messenger integrationTo disable the Outlook-Instant Messenger integration, add the following registry data: Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\PersonaMenu DWORD: Enabled Value: 0 Method 2Keep Outlook-Instant Messenger integration enabledYou can keep the Outlook-Instant Messenger integration enabled and still resolve this issue by adding the following registry data: Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers\Communicator Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers\MSN Messenger Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IM Providers\Windows Messenger Note You do not have to add registry values under these three keys.
