SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You configure the PstDisableGrow registry value to prevent the addition of items to a personal folders (.pst) file in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
  • These items are Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2007 items, SharePoint Portal Server 2003 items, or Windows SharePoint Services (versions 2.0 and 3.0) items.
In this scenario, items can still be added to the SharePoint .pst file that Outlook creates in which to store SharePoint data. For example, when you use Outlook 2007 in Cached Exchange Mode to post an item to a SharePoint Internet Calendar folder or to a SharePoint Lists folder, the item is added to the SharePoint .pst file.
