SYMPTOMS

You are using Windows Internet Explorer 7 or Internet Explorer 6 together with the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar. When you install Windows Internet Explorer 8, you receive a message that the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar does not work with Internet Explorer 8.

RESOLUTION

Use the Developer Tools that are installed together with Internet Explorer 8. To do this, use one of the following methods:
  • Start Internet Explorer 8, and then press F12.
  • Start Internet Explorer 8, open the Tools menu, and then click Developer Tools.
