SYMPTOMS

You are using Windows Internet Explorer 7 or Internet Explorer 6 together with the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar. When you install Windows Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9, you receive a message that the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar does not work with Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9.

RESOLUTION

Use the Developer Tools that are installed together with Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9. To do this, use one of the following methods:
  • Start Internet Explorer, and then press F12.
  • Start Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu, and then click Developer Tools.
