Article ID: 949068 - Last Review: January 20, 2012 - Revision: 2.2 The Regarding field in an e-mail activity contains no value when you use a template that contains a Regarding field in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you create a workflow rule for a case entity. In the workflow rule, you create an OnCreate event so that an e-mail activity is sent when you create a case. When you create the OnCreate event, you use a template that contains a Regarding field. However, when you create a new case, the Regarding field in the e-mail activity contains no value. Therefore, the Regarding field is not automatically populated as expected. RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
