This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

On a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site, you convert a document that does not inherit the document library's permissions. When you add the converted document to the document library, the following events are logged in the Application log:

Additionally, the following event is logged in the System log:
Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID:7034 Date: Date Time: Time User: N/A Computer: Computer Description: The Windows SharePoint Services Timer service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 4 time(s).

You configure a team site to have zero search visibility by using the Allow this web to appear in search results option. When you add a new user to the site collection administrators group, blank search results entries are returned if a scheduled incremental crawl is completed on a server that is running Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
