When you try to enable the client monitoring feature in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007, the Client Monitoring Configuration Wizard fails with an unknown error. This error occurs together with the 80FF002B code.
This problem occurs because the Client Monitoring Configuration Wizard reuses an existing file share for client monitoring.
To work around this problem, let the Client Monitoring Configuration Wizard create a new share. Then, copy the contents of the old share to the new share.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
