SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 environment, you use Outlook Web Access Light to access your mailbox. The mailbox size exceeds the storage limits, and you delete some folders to free additional space. You delete a folder that contains subfolders that hold large-sized messages. Then, you log on to Outlook Web Access Light. In this scenario, you receive the following error message after you type your logon credentials:
Microsoft Exchange issued an unexpected response (500).
Additionally, the error message takes almost two minutes to appear. If you click Click here to continue working, there is another two-minute delay, and the same error message is returned.
