SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a multiserver environment that contains a target server and a master server. The target server is running a German or French version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or a German version of SQL Server 2008 R2.

In this scenario, the target server cannot download the multiserver job. Additionally, an error message that resembles the following is logged in the SQL Server Agent log (Sqlagent.out) on the target server:
- Fehler, [298] SQLServer-Fehler: 102, Falsche Syntax in der Nähe von '%'. [SQLSTATE 42000] (DownloadMSXInstructions).

- Erreur, [298] Erreur SQLServer : 105, Unclosed quotation mark before the character string ', 16, 1, @msx_version) END'. [SQLSTATE 42000] (DownloadMSXInstructions)

Note
