Features that are included in the feature pack

Support to back up virtual machines on clustered Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 hosts
Support to share tape libraries between multiple DPM servers
Support to better use tape capacity by co-locating data from multiple protection groups that have a similar retention range
Support to provide system state protection for Windows Server 2008
Support to provide replica stability on a secondary DPM server when the primary DPM server that the secondary server is protecting is restarted
Provide support for long-term tape retention periods that are greater than 99 weeks
Correct Microsoft Exchange data transfer size issues that exist between the primary DPM server and the secondary DPM server when an express full backup is performed
Provide additional context parameter details and tuning for the DPM Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager
Correct data recovery issues for BitLocker protected volumes after BitLocker protection has been removed
Correct data recovery issues for BitLocker protected volumes on which DPM protected shares reside

Note We do not support the backup of prerelease versions of SQL Server 2008 (formerly code named “Katmai”) in production environments. Support that System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 provides to back up the release versions of SQL Server 2008 in production environments are subject to the Data Protection Manager support policies that are current when SQL Server 2008 is available.
