Error message when you use a rule to move messages to a folder in Outlook 2007 after you set the value of the PreferANSI registry entry: "Cannot move to the <folder_name> folder"

SYMPTOMS

You set the value of the PreferANSI registry entry to 00000001 under the following registry subkey:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\EMSP

When you use a rule to move messages from someone to a folder in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, the rule does not work. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Cannot move to the folder_name folder

Note This issue does not occur in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.

RESOLUTION
