Bug #: 50002540 (SQL Hotfix)
Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. In SQL Server 2005, you drop some columns from a table. You create a merge publication on the table. Then, you drop some more columns from the table. When you run the merge agent to synchronize the data, you may intermittently receive the following error message:
The merge process is retrying a failed operation made to article 'ArticleName' - Reason: 'Invalid input parameter values. Check the status values for detail.'.
When this problem occurs, a minidump file is generated in the folder that contains the SQL Server Errorlog file.
