SYMPTOMS

On a Windows Server 2003-based computer that has the Remote Installation Service (RIS) service installed, a nonpaged pool memory leak may occur. After the nonpaged pool memory is used up, the following events are logged.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when the Single Instance Storage driver (Sis.sys) leaks the NtFC nonpaged pool memory while the driver processes an alternative stream. This alternative stream may be generated by a third-party program.

Hotfix information
