How to power cycle home networking devices
- This test verifies that your console can contact Xbox LIVE. A failure of the Cables Connected, the IP Address, or the DNS phase will prevent you from connecting to Xbox LIVE. Therefore, you cannot reach this phase unless the console can contact Xbox LIVE.
- If your console passes these tests and you still cannot sign in to Xbox LIVE, confirm that the Xbox Live service is running normally and not experiencing any issues by checking the Live status at the following Web site:
- If the Xbox Live status does not indicate any current service issues and your console is still failing at the Xbox Live phase, you may need to configure your network firewall to work with Live.
