SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you run the Dismiss function on a tracked Microsoft Office Outlook calendar reminder for an Activity entity or for a Service Activity entity. When you do this, the Status Reason value of an appointment record is changed to a default value.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Dismiss function triggers an update to an XML file. The "<statecode>scheduled</statecode>" string value is added to a user-defined property. However, the "<statecode>scheduled</statecode>" string value is incorrect. Therefore, when the record is synchronized to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, this string value cannot be added to the database. The correct string value is "<statecode>3</statecode>."
