Expand all | Collapse all

SYMPTOMS

When you use application sharing in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007, you may experience latency.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Live Meeting 2007 console uses HTTPS streaming instead of HTTP tunneling to traverse corporate proxy servers. HTTP streamed connections are slower than HTTP tunneled connections.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install update 946764.

MORE INFORMATION

A new setting that is called "Alternate Proxy" is included in the latest version of the Live Meeting 2007 client. This service-side setting helps the Live Meeting console to connect by using HTTP tunneling instead of HTTP streaming.
