Client 6.0 installed. On this computer, you
try to
connect to the local computer by running
one of the following commands: MSTSC /V:ComputerName
/CONSOLE When
you do this, a black screen may appear for several minutes. After
several minutes, the desktop and the pointer reappear
on the screen. However, the keyboard is
unusable.MSTSC /V:ComputerIPAddress /CONSOLE CAUSEThe issue occurs because the getaddrinfo function cannot
translate the local network interface address in Windows XP. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
