When you import photos and videos, Windows Live Photo Gallery creates folder names that have dates that do not correspond to the date the photos or videos were taken.
This problem occurs if you specify that the folder name should contain "Date Taken" in the Import Settings options. And, you import photos from a source other than a connected camera or a storage card that you take from a camera and put in a card reader. For example, you import photos from a CD or from a DVD, you import previously imported or edited photos and videos, or you download photos and videos from the Web.

Note When this feature is enabled, performance may decrease significantly during the import process, especially if you import from a device that is connected through USB. The performance may be much slower than it was before you enabled the feature.We recommend that you change the value to "0" or that you delete the new value from the registry when you no longer require it.
