MORE INFORMATION

The following code is an example of how to use the FulltextSqlQuery object to perform a full-text search of a server.
String siteUrl = "http://localhost/";
           String queryText = "SELECT Title FROM Scope() WHERE FREETEXT(defaultproperties, 'xyz')";
           SPSite spSite = new SPSite(siteUrl);
           Query alertQuery = new FullTextSqlQuery(spSite);
            alertQuery.QueryText = queryText;
            alertQuery.ResultTypes = ResultType.RelevantResults;
            alertQuery.TrimDuplicates = true;
            alertQuery.Execute();

          //Creating search alerts
            SearchAlert searchAlert = new SearchAlert(spSite, alertQuery);
            searchAlert.ChangeType = AlertChangeType.Discovered;
            searchAlert.InnerAlert.AlertFrequency = SPAlertFrequency.Daily;
            searchAlert.InnerAlert.EventType = SPEventType.All;
            searchAlert.InnerAlert.Title = "FirstSearchAlert";
            searchAlert.InnerAlert.User = spSite.OpenWeb().AllUsers[@"domain\username"];
            searchAlert.Update();
Note The AlertFrequency property should be set to "Daily" instead of "Immediate." "Immediate" alerts are not supported for searches.
