SYMPTOMS

When the Winmail.dat contains multiple image files that are embedded, Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Microsoft Exchange incorrectly detects the Winmail.dat file as a CorruptedCompressedFile virus. This causes false positives, and Antigen may delete the Winmail.dat file.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Antigen 9.0 for Exchange with Service Pack 1.
