Article ID: 951640 - Last Review: February 12, 2009 - Revision: 3.0 Error message when you view a workflow in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0: "The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it"
SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
4.0:
Platform Error
==================================== "The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it." User Error ==================================== "The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it." CAUSEThis problem occurs because workflows are stored in the
pluginassemblybase table as compiled data records. The import
process does not
decompile these records to correct any references to the system user entity that may exist in the workflow rules. Additionally,
the import
process does not perform the existing workflow process
instances that contain references to the system user entity.
Therefore, these
instances cannot
run until the organization is completely imported. RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
