Article ID: 951690 - Last Review: January 20, 2012 - Revision: 3.2 An e-mail activity does not appear in the Preview page when you try to preview the e-mail activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to preview an e-mail activity in the
Preview page in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, the e-mail
activity does not appear in the Preview page as expected. This
problem occurs if the e-mail activity was
not
created in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Preview
page removes all HTML formats that are used in a
Microsoft Office Outlook e-mail activity when you preview the Outlook e-mail
activity. The <BR> tags and the <P> tags are converted to newline
characters. However, the Preview page can display only three
lines of text. If more than three newline characters are located at the
beginning of the e-mail activity, the remaining
part of the e-mail activity is truncated. In the Preview page,
the truncated part is replaced by an ellipsis character. RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
