There are several versions of Digital Imagining 2006. Only two versions include VCD capabilities. Your version of Digital Imagining 2006 may or may not include VCD capabilities. If your version of Digital Imagining 2006 does not include VCD capabilities, you will have use another method to burn a VCD. If you are running Windows Vista, you can use Windows Movie Maker or Windows Photo Gallery to burn a VCD. Or, you can purchase a third-party add-in. Collapse this table
You can create DVDs quickly and easily by using Windows DVD Maker. You can add video, add pictures, add audio, make slide shows, or add your Windows Movie Maker projects. After you add the files, you can burn your DVD with one click. Or, you can select from several menu styles and several slide show options to customize your DVD before you burn it. Or, you can customize your DVD menus and write the DVD menu text yourself. After you create a DVD, you can play the DVD in a DVD drive to watch your movies and slide shows on TV. You try to archive digital photos or to burn a video CD (VCD) from a Photo Story slide show in Microsoft Digital Image. When you do this, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms.

These issues occur for one or more of the following reasons:
Windows VistaTo resolve this issue in Windows Vista, follow these steps. Note Many features of the Digital Image product line have been added to Windows Vista. This procedure is an alternative option for Photo Story to burn the VCD on a computer that is running Windows Vista. To publish and to burn a movie to a VCD, follow these steps:
Windows XPTo resolve this issue in Windows XP, use one of the following methods, as appropriate for your situation. Note If the following methods do not resolve the issue when you use the Archiving or VCD feature in Digital Image, the product has been discontinued, and no new version of updates will be released. If you bought the product within the last 45 days and if the following methods do not resolve the issue, you can return Digital Image at the point of purchase. If you are using Photo Story 3.1 to burn VCDs and if the following methods do not resolve the issue, you can download and install Photo Story 3.0 as a workaround. Be aware that you may have to purchase additional third-party software.
