Description of the Office Project 2003 hotfix package: April 25, 2008

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

This hotfix fixes the following issues that are not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

• When you open a SharePoint site in Office Project 2003 that has an add-in enabled, the files that are opened from Document Library of the SharePoint site cannot be edited.
  
  This problem occurs with all add-ins in Project 2003 except for the Team Foundation Server (TFS) add-in.
• In Office Project 2003 with Service Pack 3, when you try to open a project, you may receive the following error message:
  An unexpected error occurred during command execution.
  However, this project can be opened successfully before you apply Office 2003 Service Pack 3 on the client computer.
  
  Additionally, after you apply Office 2003 Service Pack 3 to the client computer that has Project 2003 installed and to the server that has Project Server 2003 installed, when you try to connect the client to the server, the connection fails. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
  Cannot connect. Project was unable to establish a connection with the selected Project Server. This could be caused by a loss of network connectivity or problems with the Project Server or database."

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
