SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You upgrade an installation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 that has Update Rollup 2 to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. Then, you export a customization from this upgraded Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 server. Next, you try to import the customization to another Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 server. In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Invalid name prefix.

RESOLUTION
