Forefront Security for Exchange Server selects an incorrect network name resource on an Exchange cluster group

SYMPTOMS

If an Exchange cluster group has more than one network name resource, Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server selects the first network name resource. However, this may not be the correct network name resource. Additionally, you may find the following error messages in the Programlog.txt file:
DATE/TIME (1544-3880), "ERROR: ADGetStorage - Could not bind to Active Directory configuration context. Error code: 80005000"

DATE/TIME (6888-3512), "Active Directory Diagnostics: Set the search preference - COMPLETE"

DATE/TIME (6888-3512), "Active Directory Diagnostics: Filter Used for Search:(&(objectCategory=msExchExchangeServer)(CN=PREPRUANTI001))"

DATE/TIME (6888-3512), "Active Directory Diagnostics: Filter Used for Search:(&(objectCategory=msExchExchangeServer)(CN=PREPRUANTI002))"

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Forefront Security for Exchange Server Service Pack 1 (SP1).

After you install Hotfix Rollup 3 for Forefront Security for Exchange Server SP1, Forefront Security for Exchange Server searches for the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant resource. Then, it retrieves the NetworkName property from the System Attendant resource.

Note Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server Service Pack 1 must be installed before you install this hotfix rollup.
