SYMPTOMS

You sequence Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 in Microsoft SoftGrid Application Virtualization. Additionally, you have a valid volume license for Visual Studio 2008. However, after Visual Studio 2008 starts successfully in the Application Virtualization Client, you receive the following error message:
Invalid license data
Then, Visual Studio 2008 closes automatically.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Devenv.exe file inspects the wrong part of the Visual Studio 2008 product ID (PID). Therefore, the Devenv.exe file treats the volume license as not valid.
