Support for Windows Vista without any service packs installed ended on April 13, 2010. To continue receiving security updates for Windows, make sure you're running Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 (SP2). For more information, refer to this Microsoft web page: Support is ending for some versions of Windows
(http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/help/end-support-windows-xp-sp2-windows-vista-without-service-packs)
The English version of this update has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 file information notes
The files that apply to a specific product, milestone (RTM,
SPn), and service branch (LDR, GDR) can be identified by examining the file
version numbers as shown in the following table:

Service Pack 1 is integrated into Windows Server 2008.
Therefore, RTM milestone files apply only to Windows Vista. RTM milestone files
have a 6.0.0000.xxxxxx version number.
GDR service branches contain only fixes that are broadly
released to address widespread, critical issues. LDR service branches contain
hotfixes in addition to broadly released fixes.
The .manifest files and the .mum files that are installed
in each environment are listed separately in the
Additional file information for Windows
Server 2008 and for Windows Vista section. These files and their
associated .cat (security catalog) files are critical to maintaining the state
of the updated component. The .cat files are signed with a Microsoft digital
signature. The attributes of these security files are not listed.

For all supported Itanium-based versions of Windows Server 2008
To configure the language locale, set the Standards
and formats option to the language locale that you want on the
Regional Options tab in the Regional and Language
Options item in Control Panel. When you do this, all numbers,
currencies, dates, and times should be displayed in the format that is
specified by the new language locale.
The problem that is mentioned
in the "Symptoms" section affects the following items:
VBScript built-ins such as FormatCurrency, FormatDateTime,
FormatNumber, and FormatPercent
The concatenation of a string with the results of
built-ins such DateValue and TimeValue
JScript built-ins such as toLocaleString
For example, suppose that you set the Standards and
formats option to English (United Kingdom). The
language locale of the operating system is English (United States). Because of
this change, the output for Number, for
Currency, for Short Date, for Long
Date, and for Time should change.
The
following table describes these changes.
