SYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. You create a workflow rule that uses a note or an address as the primary entity. The workflow rule performs some actions on the Regarding field of the note or on the Parent field of the address. Or, the workflow rule uses some data from these fields. Then, you perform the workflow rule. In this scenario, the workflow rule does not work as expected. For example, the data that is used for any dynamic values is incorrect and the records that are required for the workflow rule cannot be found. RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
