SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Antigen 9.0 for Microsoft Exchange, the program log (ProgramLog.txt) indicates that a file is quarantined. However, the file does not exist in the quarantine. Therefore, the file is missing.

CAUSE

This issue may occur when the site distinguished name (DN) cannot be retrieved from the Active Directory directory service. In this situation, an unhandled exception causes the whole remote procedure call (RPC) request to be canceled. Because the quarantine operation occurs after the RPC request sends the notification, the file is not quarantined.
