Error message when you use the Advanced Find function to view saved views in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0: "There was an error in showing this linked entity"Article ID: 952979 - View products that this article applies to. SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Advanced Find function to view saved views in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you may receive
the following error message: There was an error in
showing this linked entity. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the linked entities were related
to one another directly, and the relationship did not include the intersect
entity in
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.
However, in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, relationships must
include the intersect entity to return the clauses correctly in the Advanced
Find form. Because
upgrading Microsoft Dynamics CRM does not change
user queries that were created in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0,
the saved views generate an error message when you use them in Microsoft
Dynamics CRM 4.0. RESOLUTIONThis problem is fixed in the latest cumulative update rollup for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
