On a Lenovo Thinkpad that runs Windows Vista, you find that the disk space is used up after a period of time.
This may occur because the RRBackup folder, which is used by the ThinkPad Rescue and Recovery Utility, consumed a lot of disk space.
To free disk space, you may contact Lenovo to get assistance about how to delete unnecessary backups.
1. Click Start. Click "All Programs". Click "Thinkvantage". Click "Rescue and recovery option".
2. Select the Set schedule option and deselect schedule backup option.
3. Return to the home page of the utility and select Advanced option from the Menu Bar and chose the option to Delete backup.
4. Select and then delete the unnecessary backups to recover additional disk space.
By default the number of incremental backups is 5, this setting can be reduced and you can also redirect the backups to a network drive or a removable media. You can also limit the backup size and receive a prompt when the limit is exceeded.
