SUMMARY

FutureSoft technical support has confirmed that DynaComm Elite, a 3270 emulation package for Windows, requires a data link control (DLC) provider to work correctly with Windows for Workgroups.

This article contains information concerning the Microsoft DLC (MSDLC) protocol included with Microsoft LAN Manager for use with Windows for Workgroups.

MORE INFORMATION

If you are using Windows for Workgroups with Microsoft LAN Manager, the file MSDLC.EXE is required to provide the DLC protocol stack. For information on configuring MSDLC.EXE with Windows for Workgroups, refer to the "Windows for Workgroups Resource Kit" for version 3.1, pages E-14 to E-20, or contact Microsoft LAN Manager technical support.
