Article ID: 954069 - Last Review: October 8, 2011 - Revision: 2.0 Windows Media Encoder 9 crashes when you switch the input and output viewers and change resources repeatedly
On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen you switch the input viewers and the output viewers repeatedly in a Windows Media Encoder 9 encoder session, a heap corruption occurs. Additionally, the Encoder application crashes. This problem occurs if you switch between different sources when you switch the input viewers and the output viewers. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the source pointer is not set to NULL when the display viewer changes from output to input. When you switch the source, the memory for the point may become invalid. When the memory is read or written, a heap corruption occurs.
