SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

You have a computer that has a script debugger installed.
The computer also has Internet Explorer 7 installed.
In Internet Explorer 7, you do not have the Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) check box selected.
In Internet Explorer 7, you open an HTML page that contains script.

In this scenario, the application may stop responding with an access violation in Mshtml.dll under certain circumstances.

Security update information

To resolve this problem, install the most current cumulative security update for Internet Explorer. To install the most current updates, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
