  • You import the new customization XML file from the fresh installation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 back into the upgraded installation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.

After you download an extract the hotfix, follow these steps:
  1. When you run the CRMv4.0-KB954322-i386-Server-INTL.exe file, you are notified that the extraction is complete, but another file is being extracted. If you view the folders in the root (C:\), you should find one that was created when you ran the CRMv4.0-KB954322-i386-Server-INTL.exe file. The folder name will be a random long number such as 4708c290b92f7f7ce30fcd9e18ba1125.
  2. After you locate that folder, open it. In this folder, you will find the following file:
    Microsoft.crm.se.fixmissingbulkdeletefailurerelationship.exe
  3. Paste that .exe file in the following location:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Tools
  4. Run that .exe file at a command prompt. Add the organization name at the end of the file. For example:
    microsoft.crm.se.fixmissingbulkdeletefailurerelationship.exe organization
After you follow these steps, the installation of the hotfix is complete.
