SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade a Windows Vista-based computer to Windows Vista Service Pack 1, you cannot use the Remote Desktop Web Connection client to connect to other computers in the same domain environment.

To work around this issue, enable the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting setting for the Local intranet zone.

To do this, follow these steps:

Click Start, type inetcpl.cpl in the Start Search text box, and then press ENTER.
Click the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then click Custom level.
Find the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting setting, and then click Enable.
Click OK two times.
